Delhi Township green lights Phase II of the Holt to Mason Trail
Yesterday, the Delhi Township Board of Trustees approved an agreement with Ingham County for the second phase of the Holt to Mason Trail, accepting a grant for more than $2.5 million from the Ingham County Trails and Park Millage Grant funds. Ingham County provided $1 million in funding for this project as part of Phase I in 2019.
The grant covers the design, engineering and construction of the second phase of the project. Phase I and Phase II will complete the trail between Esker Landing Park and College Road.
In total, the project is expected to cost about $4 million. The grant will supplement a generous pledge of $200,000 from George and Lisa Hayhoe and $200,000 from the township, which will come from the Parks, Trails and Recreational millage passed by voters in 2018.
The continuation of the Holt to Mason Trail is an exciting development in Delhi Township, and we look forward to seeing the community use the trail.
