Delhi Township is open for business

Delhi Township is open for business. However, we will continue to use email, phone and video conferencing to conduct township business.

Following Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s latest extension of the “Safer at Home” Order, all township buildings will remain closed to the public.

Our top priority is maintaining the health and safety of Delhi Township residents, our employees and their families during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Appointments for in-person meetings will be offered on a very limited basis and will adhere to all social distancing protocols.

Postponed: 2020 Sidewalk Maintenance Program

The Township understands the COVID-19 pandemic has caused financial stress for people in our community and across the state. In response, the 50/50 cost sharing program for sidewalk repairs has been postponed until 2021.

In Delhi Township, we are committed to providing safe routes that make it convenient for pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists to navigate our community. We know you value walkability, and the quality of our sidewalks and other pedestrian amenities are extremely important.

The Township’s Sidewalk Ordinance requires sidewalks be installed in many areas of the Township whenever a property is developed, or when significant improvements are made.

The Township has historically implemented the 50/50 sidewalk maintenance program to help ease the burden on property owners by splitting the cost of sidewalk installation and maintenance.

We are looking forward to resuming our sidewalk maintenance program next year.
